GLEN D. MANGUM is the sole proprietor of the Law Offices of Glen D. Mangum. He has been in private practice, representing employees in disputes with their employers, since February of 1982. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 1974. After serving as a paralegal for approximately two years, he attended St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree in 1979.

From 1980 to 1982, Mr. Mangum had the pleasure of serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert B. O'Connor, United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division, from whom he learned how the federal court system operates.

After completing his service to Judge O'Connor, Mr. Mangum began the private practice of law as an associate of the Law Offices of Luis M. Segura, Inc. in San Antonio. As an associate of Mr. Segura, he acquired experience in practically all areas of labor and employment law.

In 1984, Mr. Mangum resigned his employment with the Law Offices of Luis M. Segura and accepted employment with the law firm of Douglas & Elms in San Antonio. He was employed by Douglas & Elms from 1984 to 1986, during which time he continued to acquire experience and develop his expertise in labor and employment law.

Since late 1987, Mr. Mangum has been a sole practitioner doing business as the Law Offices of Glen D. Mangum. His primary area of practice has been labor and employment law, and he has represented employees in both federal and state courts, and before federal (EEOC, MSPB) state, county and local administrative bodies.

Mr. Mangum is licensed to practice law in all courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Western, Southern and Northern Districts of Texas, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas' Labor and Employment Law Section, and is also a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Texas Employment Lawyers Association, and the San Antonio Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.

Mr. Mangum has also spoken at numerous conferences and seminars on employment law issues.

Mr. Mangum has been recognized for several years as a Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine, as a Best Law Firm by U.S. News & World Report, and and is rated Very High in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards by Martindale-Hubbell.
